Server Management
The guided setup app installs on your VPS or walks you through a Synology NAS installation. Choose your domain or a free HyperDrop address, then use the join code to connect HyperDrop Desktop.
macOS: notarized, drag it into Applications. Windows and Linux: not code-signed, and the wizard opens in its own window. Windows SmartScreen may warn that the publisher is unknown: choose More info, then Run anyway.
On a Synology NAS

Add it in Package Center and your NAS picks the exact build and offers updates. On DSM 6.2, set Trust Level to Any publisher first; DSM 7 has no such setting.
From a terminal
curl -fsSL https://gethyperdrop.com/install.sh | sudo sh
Requires root or sudo, systemd, a public IPv4 and an x86_64 or ARM64 CPU. It asks for an address and an administrator account and prints what to sign in with.
Read the installer. Downloads are verified by checksum.
Only sharing, from a terminal, to a server a friend runs? You want the command line, not the server.
