One APK, signed by HyperDrop. It installs on a phone or tablet with a 64-bit ARM processor; a 32-bit or x86 device cannot run it.

Install on Android

  1. Download the APK on the phone.
  2. Open it from the browser's downloads. The first time, Android asks whether this browser may install apps: choose Settings, turn on Allow from this source, and go back.
  3. Choose Install, then open HyperDrop and join a server with its QR code or join code, or sign in with the server's address, your login and password.
  4. You can turn Allow from this source off again. Updates install the same way, and Android asks again when you install one.

Check the signature

Every HyperDrop APK is signed with the same certificate. Android refuses to install an update signed by any other, so once HyperDrop is on your phone, only HyperDrop's own builds can replace it. Before the first install, you can compare the certificate's SHA-256 with this one:

5D:52:ED:33:33:73:13:67:09:37:AE:47:20:F7:EB:DD:17:B5:F8:BB:EC:44:2B:98:6B:E7:BE:BF:FA:B4:9C:C7

On a computer with the Android SDK build tools, run:

apksigner verify --print-certs HyperDrop-<version>-<build>.apk

Its signer line shows the same digits in lowercase, without colons:

Signer #1 certificate SHA-256 digest: 5d52ed33337313670937ae4720f7ebdd17b5f8bbec442b986be7bebffab49cc7

The SHA-256 beside each download is the file's own, to check that the download is complete.

Updates

HyperDrop checks this page's release list once a day. When a newer version is out, Settings shows HyperDrop <version> is available with Open Download Page.

Download the new APK and install it over the old one. Your accounts and settings stay. More in Updates.

Uninstall

Open Android's Settings, then Apps, HyperDrop, and choose Uninstall. This removes HyperDrop's accounts from the phone; your shares stay on the server, and joining again brings them back.
