Big-file sharing for NAS owners and teams

AI-agent ready

Send big files people can watch or download, from your own server.

Right-click on your Mac and a link is on your clipboard. Videos play in any browser, photos open as a gallery and folders browse like Finder, no account needed. Your files stay on your NAS or your team’s servers: no monthly fee, links that last.

The app on Mac today (macOS 26 or later), the command line on Mac, Windows and Linux; iPhone and Android coming · a Synology NAS or any Linux server.

Three steps, once

Server Management installs the server on a Linux machine, yours or a rented VPS, in a few minutes; on a Synology NAS it walks you through Package Center.

  1. Set up a server

Use Server Management to install on a Linux server, or install the Synology package on DSM 7 or DSM 6.2.

  2. Choose an address

Use your own domain or get a free hyperdrop.link address. Every share uses it. A home connection with a changing IP is fine: the address follows your server.

  3. Join from the Mac

Open your invite link, or paste the join code from Server Management into HyperDrop Desktop. Start sharing from Finder, the menu bar or the Share menu.

What you can share

And it does more than send files.

Watch, browse or download

Videos stream at full quality, photos open as a gallery that works on phones and computers, folders browse like Finder, and everything downloads under its own name or as one archive.

Too big to upload? Share it live

Live Share streams a file or a folder of any size straight off your Mac and its drives. Nothing is uploaded; the link works while your Mac is on.

Passwords and expiry

Protect a share with a password and choose when it expires.

Your whole team

Give everyone an account on your server, each with its own storage limit, invited with a one-time link. No per-seat fee.

Receive Inboxes

Let anyone upload to your server through a link, with no account needed. Right-click a folder in Finder and received files land in it as they arrive.

Text and notes

Share selected text from any app with one shortcut, or a note that keeps its formatting. Edit it later and the link stays the same.

Screen captures and recordings

Capture, annotate or record with the Screenshot and Screencast extensions, then share a link from your own server, instead of CleanShot X or Monosnap.

Web pages and server folders

Publish an HTML page, or share a folder already on your server without copying it.

A server that looks after itself

Backs up its database daily and restores it by itself if it is ever damaged; keeps a log you can send to support from the app.

Your screenshot app, too

The free Screenshot and Screencast extensions capture with ⌘⇧7, record with ⌘⇧8 and share each one from your own server, so they replace CleanShot X or Monosnap and the cloud those upload to.

Serious about security

HyperDrop is built on twenty years of developing internet services. Every release goes through a security audit with current tooling, and the code is reviewed by the latest models from Anthropic (Fable), OpenAI (Astra) and xAI (Grok) before it ships.

Audited before every release

Static analysis, dependency checks and a security review of the changes run before a version is published, and the review is repeated by three independent AI reviewers.

Signed updates, two-factor admins

Your server installs only release-signed updates, verified by the server already running. Administrator accounts sign in with a password and an authenticator code.

Shared files on their own origin

What you share is served from a separate address, so a shared page can never read your sign-in or your other shares. Links use random ids, never file names.

Works with your AI agent

Let Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and other agents share files and manage your shares. Connect them in Settings → AI Agents. For server installation, use Server Management’s agent connection.

Send your first link

Get the Mac app, then set up your server with Server Management or Package Center.
